New Delhi – Imam Umar Ahmad Ilyasi, the chief of ‘All India Imam Organisation’ stated that the eminent personalities in this country should express their views on the attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh. Remaining mum on the issue sends wrong signals. Shahrukh Khan, the owner of IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), should apologise to the countrymen and give a statement about atrocities against Hindus in Bangladesh. It is wrong to keep mum on such issues in this sensitive period. Ilyasi further added that today’s Bangladesh has been created with a huge contribution from India. Attacks on minority Hindus in such a country is a very sad and condemnable matter. In such grave situation, should people of that country be allowed to come to India for sports or for any other project.

Protest against violence in the name of Islam

Violence in the name of Islam is against the teachings of Islam, asserted Ilyasi. No religion permits oppression or killings of innocent people. This issue is not related to only religion or politics but it is also related to the country and humanity. All factions of society and the influential people should come together to raise voice against violence which will send a right message to the world.
