20 killed in Saudi Arabia’s attack on Yemen

Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) – 20 people killed, and more than 20 injured in a Saudi-led airstrike on Yemen on 2 January. Saudi Arabia carried out this attack on the Southern Transitional Council (STC), an organisation supported by the United Arab Emirates (UAE), in Yemen. Saudi Arabia suspected that this organisation was planning to launch an uprising in Yemen. Yemen is Saudi Arabia’s neighbour. They suspected that there was a possibility of a rebellion of the STC posing a threat to Saudi Arabia. The attack created tension between Saudi Arabia and the UAE. Just 2 days ago, Saudi Arabia attacked the port of Mukalla to target an Emirati ship.

Saudi Arabia will continue its attacks

Arabia carried out this attack after the STC launched moves to take control of military bases in Yemen. Saudi Arabia has made it clear that so long as the STC does not stop its efforts, it will not prevent the attack.
