‘The attack on Bangladeshi Hindus is a reaction to the attacks on Minorities in India’ : Congress Leader Digvijay Singh

Congress Leader Digvijay Singh’s pro-jihadi statement

Digvijay Singh

New Delhi – The way the fanatic religious fundamentalist powers in India are doing acts against the minoritycommunity; the action is being seen in what is happening in Bangladesh. Congress leader Digvijay Singh’s contention is that the situation in Bangladesh is a reaction to what is happening to minorities in India.

Digvijay Singh further said, after the coup in Bangladesh, which changed the Government there, groups which stoke religious fundamentalism to do politics in the country have become active. Sheikh Hassina and Sheikh MujiburRehmanalways were against these trends.

Editorial Perspective

Bangladesh had 22% Hindus in 1971. Today they are only 8%. In India there has been a tremendous increase in the population of Muslims. If things in India were the way Digvijay Singh says they are then the population of Muslims in India should have reduced. But this has not happened. This means that Muslims are safe in India. From this we realise, that Digvijay Singh is calling Hindus violent rioters.
