Accused of allegedly insulting the Prophet Muhammad!
Dhaka (Bangladesh) – A young man, Deepu Chandra Das, was stripped naked, tied to a pillar and burnt alive in Bhaluka area of the city on the night of December 18 for allegedly insulting the Prophet Muhammad. Deepu was working in a local textile factory and was living in a rented room in the area.
Police reached the spot after receiving information about the incident and brought the situation under control. No case has been registered in this incident yet.
