Illegally transferred land will have to be returned to the original tribal families!
Merely returning the land is not enough; strict action should also be taken against those responsible in the institution who carried out this act!
Akkalkuwa (Nandurbar) – The Tahsildar Court here has ordered the educational institution ‘Jamia Islamia Ishaatul Uloom Trust’ to return land to the original tribal families. The institution had illegally acquired land from tribal people. In connection with this institution, a family from Yemen was arrested for illegal residence, and criminal cases had also been registered against the institution’s operators. That family had produced government documents claiming to be residents of India from Akkalkuwa. In this matter, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had conducted raids at the premises. Advocate Sunil Vasave had filed an application before the Akkalkuwa Tahsildar regarding agricultural land at Mouje Pimpripada.
The Jamia Islamia Ishaatul Uloom Trust has the right to appeal against the Tahsildar Court’s order before the Revenue Tribunal at Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. The head of the concerned institution, Ghulam Vastanvi, passed away last year. Following the verdict in favor of the tribal community in this land case, it has come to light that the Jamia institution had acquired some more land in a similar manner.
