Muslims arrested for stealing temple bells in Bulandshahr (Uttar Pradesh)

Bulandshahar (Uttar Pradesh) – Seasoned thieves stealing brass bells from temples were nabbed by Dibai Police. They have recovered 96 brass bells weighing about 12 kg from the thieves. A pistol, 3 knives, and a brass rod have also been seized from them. All the arrested persons are Muslims viz. Sagir, Nazim, Dildar, Rajddin, Alim, Taj Mohammad, and Hammu.

1. Dibai Police arrested Hammu and Taj Mohammad during an encounter two days ago. The names of the other five culprits were obtained during their interrogation and later, Police arrested them too, informed Dr Tejveer Singh, Additional Superintendent of Police, Bulandshahar.

2. The stolen brass bells used to be melted and later converted to rods and sold. All the arrested accused are Muslims; therefore, Police are conducting investigations from all angles.
