Police arrest a youth of a different faith under suspicion

Davengere (Karnataka) – A tense situation erupted in Sasvehalli village of Honnali taluka for some time, when unknown people burnt a placard depicting the Deity Shiva. Alert police intervened immediately and controlled its escalation. The placard was put up in the village, on the occasion of the Kartik Deepotsav of Shri Kalleshwar Swami. The police have taken a youth of a different faith, suspecting responsible for this foul play. They brought the situation under control by removing the green flag near the arch of the village, symbolising another faith.
