Pakistan supports China’s claim on Arunachal Pradesh

Islamabad (Pakistan) – Pakistan has once again sided with China on Arunachal Pradesh, choosing to echo Beijing’s narrative rather than acknowledge India’s sovereignty. In a statement issued by Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Friday, Islamabad said it “reiterates its consistent support for China on matters concerning its sovereignty and territorial integrity.” Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry’s spokesperson Tahir Andrabi in a press Conference on the 5 December while answering a question made the above statement. Andrabi had been asked to comment on the statement of China’s Foreign Ministry about Arunachal Pradesh. To this India’s Foreign Ministry responded “Arunachal Pradesh is an integral and inseparable part of India. No matter how many times China denies it, this fact will not change.”

Editorial Perspective

Pakistan and China have joined hands; to counter this axis, India must now correct Nehru’s historic mistake by telling the world, firmly and consistently, that since China has swallowed Tibet, the global community must help free Tibet from China’s grip.
