Asim Munir is Islamic fundamentalist : Alleges Aleema Khanum, Imran Khan's sister

Islamabad (Pakistan) – Imran Khan’s sister Aleema Khanum has criticized Pakistan’s army chief Asim Munir, calling him an Islamic fundamentalist. She was speaking in an interview with Sky News. She also said that Munir wants to fight people who do not believe in Islam.

In this interview, when Khanum was asked about the India-Pakistan conflict in May 2025, she directly accused Asim Munir. She said that Munir wants to wage war against India due to his fundamentalist ideology. When my brother Imran Khan came to power, he tried to improve relations with India and even with the BJP. On the contrary, Munir is creating an atmosphere of tension and war on the border. Although Imran Khan was put in jail by Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, 90% of the people of Pakistan are still on Imran Khan’s side. I have appealed to Western countries to help him get released. Imran Khan has been in Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi since 2023 in a corruption case and is being mentally tortured there.

Rumours of Imran Khan’s death

On November 25th, Imran Khan’s supporters and family members had reached the jail to meet him; but the prison administration did not allow them. After that, rumours of Imran Khan’s death spread like wildfire in Pakistan. This led to a major protest in Pakistan.
