Pakistan shifts 72 terror camps from border areas to interior regions

Jammu (Jammu & Kashmir) – During Operation Sindoor, the Indian Army destroyed 118 Pakistani military posts located near the international border. As a result, Pakistan’s surveillance network and defensive arrangements collapsed. This major setback forced Pakistan to shift more than 72 terrorist camps from border areas to interior locations. This clearly shows that Indian action forced Pakistan to retreat strategically, said Shashank Anand, Inspector General of the Border Security Force (BSF), Jammu Frontier, during a press conference.
Still-active terror camps
According to IG Shashank Anand, although the Indian Army destroyed 3 major terrorist camps in the Sialkot region of Pakistan, there are still 12 camps active within 40–50 km of the Sialkot–Zafarwal area. Additionally, more than 60 camps are located further inside Pakistan. Movements at these locations are dynamic, and whenever terrorists prepare for infiltration into India, these camps are activated.
India ready for ‘Operation Sindoor 2’
IG Shashank Anand clarified that the Indian Army and BSF are continuously monitoring the situation based on intelligence inputs and keeping a close watch on every Pakistani movement.
If Pakistan or its supported terrorists make any further moves, India will not hesitate to launch ‘Operation Sindoor 2’. Soldiers and officers are fully prepared for any situation and are ready to give a response that is even more precise and stronger than before.
Capability to inflict major damage on Pakistan
IG Anand stated that based on India’s experience from the 1965 and 1971 wars, the 1999 Kargil War, and Operation Sindoor, the BSF is fully trained for all types of conflict. Be it conventional war or hybrid warfare, we are ready. If the situation demands, India has the capability to inflict far greater damage on Pakistan than what was done in May this year. Whatever strategy the government formulates, the BSF will execute it with complete precision.
