  • Demand of Rs 200 crores for getting ministership

  • Accusation by MLAs from CM Siddaramaiah and Dy CM D K Shivakumar group, of internal trading

Bengaluru (Karnataka) – ‘Horse-trading’ is said to be going on among the MLAs for the seat of chief minister in the group of Siddaramaiah and D K Shivakumar. Both the groups of Congress are offering Rs 50 crores, one Fortuner SUV and a house to MLAs. Few MLAs are demanding even Rs 75-100 crores while the demand is Rs 200 crores for getting a ministership. These are some of the serious accusations made by Chalavadi Narayanaswamy, the opposition leader of Karnataka Legislative Council and BJP-MLA.

Arrest Congress General Secretary Randeep Surjewala – MLA Narayanaswamy

MLA Narayanaswamy has stated that the Congress general secretary Randeep Surjewala has been personally collecting Rs 200 crores from MLAs who want ministership. Surjewala should be immediately arrested and inquiry should be conducted into corruption and financial misappropriations, Mr Narayanaswamy demanded. He further stated that he would write to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in this context. The Congress Government has been playing the game of horse-trading to buy MLAs by looting the people of Karnataka. It is an attack on the Constitution and democracy and the people will teach them a lesson for their impertinence.

Editorial Perspective

Considering the dark history of corruption of the Congress Party, there could be a possibility of truth in these accusations. India can be made corruption-free only by imposing a ban on the Congress party.
