Raipur (Chhattisgarh) – The killing of the notorious Naxalite Madvi Hidma has broken the backbone of the Maoist movement in Chhattisgarh. Security forces are continuing their operations relentlessly, creating deep panic within Naxalite ranks. In the wake of this, Naxal groups have written letters to the Chief Ministers of Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh, urging them to stop anti-Naxal actions until 15 February 2026.
They have demanded that there should be no gunfire exchange during the ceasefire period. “If security forces continue their operations in this period, Naxalites will be compelled to retaliate,” they warned. 2. Notorious Naxal figures support ceasefire-
Notorious Naxals Sonudada, Satishdada and Chandanna have supported the ceasefire proposal. 3. State government confident of eliminating Naxalism
The government has set a target of completely eliminating Naxalism by 31 March 2026. Responding to the Naxalites’ request, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai said that only a few months from now, “By 31 March 2026, Naxalism will be eradicated com
