‘Operation Sindoor’ was like a perfectly synchronised orchestra, says the Army Chief

  • The success of Operation Sindoor is spectacular

  • The Army destroyed 9 terror bases in just 22 minutes

New Delhi – Operation Sindoor was like a confident and perfectly synchronised orchestra, where every musician played their part in unison. We destroyed nine terrorist bases in only 22 minutes. Conducting military operations while anticipating how the situation might change shows a long-term strategic outlook. This response was not created in a moment; it was the outcome of years of reflection on how intelligence, precision and technology can be brought together and converted into decisive action, stated Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi while addressing the convocation ceremony at the New Delhi Institute of Management.

The Army Chief further said:

1. More than 55 conflicts are currently under way, blurring the boundary between peace and war. Over 100 countries are involved in these conflicts, either directly or covertly.

2. Markets, too, have changed — nationalism, sanctions and protectionism have turned geo-economics into strategies resembling warfare.

3. We handle the lives of millions. I personally lead a community of 1 crore 30 lakh soldiers, ex-servicemen and their families. That is one per cent of India’s population. The corporate world handles résumés; we handle the lives of millions, ready to give a firing order at a moment’s notice.

Editorial Perspective

Operation Sindoor’s success is indeed spectacular and deserves to be showcased proudly before the world; yet even after being taught a lesson, Pakistan’s behaviour remains unchanged. In future, patriots would appreciate hearing the firm declaration that “We have taught Pakistan a lesson it will never forget”
