‘Operation Sindoor’ was only a glimpse ! : Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi

New Delhi – Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi has sent a strong and clear message to Pakistan, asserting that Operation Sindoor was “just a trailer” and India will not hesitate to take stronger action if terrorism continues to be fuelled across the border. Speaking at the Chanakya Defence Dialogue, General Dwivedi highlighted India’s growing capability, political clarity, and unwavering tolerance against any threat to national security. General Dwivedi clearly stated India’s position on security challenges, Pakistan’s role, the situation in Kashmir, and regional developments.

Points stated by General Dwivedi

1. India will respond decisively to any form of terrorism emanating from Pakistan. He stated, “When Pakistan fuels terrorism, it is a matter of concern for us. We talk about progress, but if anyone creates hurdles, we will have to act.”

2. (Direct or indirect support is, in a way, assistance to terrorists. This must be noted. – Editor)
In the past five years, terrorism in Kashmir has reduced significantly and more than 60% of the terrorists neutralized were those who had infiltrated across the border.

3. India will not succumb to any nuclear blackmail and whether a conflict lasts four months or four years, the Army is prepared for every situation.

Editorial Perspective

People expect that until Pakistan-sponsored jihadi terrorism is completely eliminated, India should not stop at merely showing such glimpses, but should, in the true sense, carry out a full-fledged ‘decisive battle’.
