Verdict in the Sheikh Hasina case to be delivered on 17 November

The International Crimes Tribunal in Dhaka will deliver its judgement on 17 November in the case filed against former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for crimes against humanity. Government prosecutors have levelled five serious charges against her, including murder, failure to prevent violence, and crimes against humanity. Prosecutors have demanded the death penalty.

Given the rising tension around the case, a nationwide alert has been issued in Bangladesh, and police and military personnel have been deployed at airports and key buildings across the country.
