The positive effect of the vibrations emitted from various chants of the Sun Deity’s names on the subtle-energy of an individual !

Mrs. Madhura Dhananjay Karve

In Hindu Dharma, the Sun is revered and worshipped as a Deity. Various chants of the name of the Sun Deity are prevalent. Through the chants of the Deity’s names, vibrations of Shakti (Divine Energy), Bhav (spiritual emotion), Chaitanya (Divine Consciousness), Anand (Bliss), and Shanti (Serenity) are emitted. Before the name of a Deity, the honorific “Shri” is added, for example, “Shri Suryaya Namaha”. Alternatively, “Dev” or “Narayana” is added after the Deity’s name, for example, “Shri Suryadevaya Namaha,” “Shri Suryanarayanaya Namaha”. What are the differences that exist in the vibrations emitted through these various chants of the same Deity ? Further, what effects do these chants have on an individual’s subtle energy ? To study this, scientific research was conducted by Maharshi Adhyatma Vishwavidyalay using a pendulum. A pendulum can measure the positive and negative energies present in objects, premises, and individuals. The study is given ahead.

1. Interpretation of the observations in the study

1 A. Presence of progressively higher levels of positive energy in the selected Sun Deity chants during the study : In this study, four Sun Deity chants were selected and their digital prints were prepared. All four chants were studied using a pendulum. No negative energy was found in any of the chants. Positive energy was observed in these chants, and their level was progressively higher, as can be seen from the readings provided ahead.

Different chants of Sun Deity Positive energy Aura (Metres)
1. Suryaya Namaha   6.6
2. Shri Suryaya Namaha 9.3
3. Shri Suryadevaya Namaha 14.5
4. Shri Suryanarayanaya Namaha 23.2

1 B. Progressively greater positive effects on the subtle energy of individuals with and without severe spiritual distress were observed when they chanted the selected Sun Deity chants in the study : Spiritual research was conducted to study the effects of chanting the Sun Deity chants on a person’s subtle energy. In this study, two individuals participated, one with severe spiritual distress and another without any spiritual distress. Both were asked to chant one chosen chant for 20 minutes each day. Photographs of both individuals were taken each day before chanting and after 20 minutes of chanting. All these photographs were studied using a pendulum. The observations of this study are given ahead.

Individuals in the study Negative Energy Aura (Metres) Positive Energy aura (Metres)
Before After Before After
1. Chanting  by an individual with severe spiritual distress
1. Suryaya Namaha 10 1.5 0 2.5
2. Shri Suryaya Namaha 7.5 0  1.5   5
3. Shri Suryadevaya Namaha 6.5 0 3.5 14
4. Shri Suryanarayanaya Namaha 6.5 0 0 17.5
2. Chanting  by an individual with no spiritual distress
A. Suryaya Namaha 0 0 5 8.5
B. Shri Suryaya Namaha 0 0 5.5 12.5
C. Shri Suryadevaya Namaha 3 0 5 19
D. Shri Suryanarayanaya Namaha 0 0 5 23

The following points are noted from the above observations.

1 B 1. After chanting of all the four chants of the Sun Deity , the negative energy Aura of the individual with severe spiritual distress reduced or was nullified and positive energy was either created or increased.

1 B 2. After chanting all the four chants, the positive energy Aura in the individual with no spiritual distress increased. Before doing the third chant, some amount of negative energy was detected in her; however, after completing chanting, it was nullified.

1 B 3. In comparison to the chant ‘Suryaya Namaha’, the chant ‘Shri Suryaya Namaha’ is more effective : In comparison to the chant ‘Suryaya Namaha’, after doing the chant ‘Shri Suryaya Namaha’, positive energy aura in both the individuals increased to a large extent.

1 B 4. Compared to the chant ‘Shri Suryaya Namaha’, the chant ‘Shri Suryadevaya Namaha’ is more effective, and compared to the chant ‘Shri Suryadevaya Namaha’, the chant ‘Shri Suryanarayanaya Namaha’ is even more effective !

A. In the case of the individual with severe spiritual distress, after chanting ‘Shri Suryaya Namaha’, ‘Shri Suryadevaya Namaha’, and ‘Shri Suryanarayanaya Namaha’, the positive energy increased successively by 3.5 metres, 10.5 metres, and 17.5 metres. From this, it is evident that the chant ‘Shri Suryanarayanaya Namaha’ has the greatest effect.

B. Similarly, in the case of the individual without spiritual distress, after the individual chanted ‘Shri Suryaya Namaha’, ‘Shri Suryadevaya Namaha’, and ‘Shri Suryanarayanaya Namaha’, the positive energy increased successively by 7 metres, 14 metres, and 18 metres. From this as well, it is evident that the chant ‘Shri Suryanarayanaya Namaha’ has the greatest effect.

1 C. Conclusion : There were positive effects of all the four chants of the Sun Deity, on the subtle-energies of both the individuals, also out of those chants, ‘Shri Suryanarayanaya Namaha’, was most effective from the point of view of positive effect.

2. Spiritual analysis of the observations in the study

2 A. According to the vibrations emitted from the selected Sun Deity chants in the study, the amount of positive energy in each of them is different : “In Spirituality, there is a principle that ‘sound, touch, form, taste, smell, and the energy associated with them exist together’. According to this principle, wherever the name of a Deity is present, its Shakti (Divine Energy) or vibrations are also present. The five Cosmic principles are Pruthvi-tattva (Absolute Earth), Apa-tattva (Absolute Water), Tej-tattva(Absolute Fire), Vayu-tattva (Absolute Air) and Akash-tattva (Absolute Ether). In the Sun, the proportion of the Tej-tattva is fundamentally higher.”

2 B. The proportion of vibrations (in percentage) in the various chants of the Sun Deity

A. Sagun 70 55 45 40
B. Nirgun 30 45 55 60
Total 100 100 100 100

2 B 1. Suryaya Namaha :  Suryaya Namaha means “I pay obeisance to You, the Sun Deity”. Primarily vibrations of Shakti are emitted through this Sun Deity chant.

2 B 2. Shri Suryaya Namaha : In this chant, the honorific “Shri” is prefixed to the name of the Sun Deity. “Shri” refers to one who is endowed with qualities such as prosperity, righteousness, success, beauty, knowledge, and detachment. It also means “I pay obeisance to You, the Sun Deity”. Primarily vibrations of Shakti and Chaitanya are emitted through this chant.

2 B 3. Shri Suryadevaya Namaha : In this chant, the Sun is addressed as “Suryadev,” and the honorific “Shri” is also prefixed. It also means “I pay obeisance to You, the Sun Deity” While chanting this, one feels devotion towards the Sun Deity. Primarily vibrations of Bhav and Chaitanya are emitted through this chant.

2 B 4. Shri Suryanarayanaya Namaha : In this chant, the Sun is addressed as ‘Suryanarayan’. ‘Shri’ has been prefixed before the name. This also means “I pay obeisance to You, the Sun Deity” While chanting this name, one feels Bliss. This chant primarily emits vibrations of Chaitanya and Anand.

2 C. An individual with severe spiritual distress and a person without spiritual distress both derive spiritual benefits from all four Sun Deity chants ; however, the extent of these benefits differs : The vibrations of Shakti, Bhav, Chaitanya, Anand and Shanti are progressively more subtle; hence, they are progressively more powerful. Both individuals in the study absorbed the vibrations emitted by each of the chants according to their capacity. Because they absorbed the Chaitanya from the chants, their negative energy was reduced or eliminated, and positive energy was either generated in them or increased. An important point to note here is that the amount of positive energy generated by each chant differed. Among both individuals, the highest increase in positive energy was observed with the chant “Shri Suryanarayanaya Namaha,” as this chant emits vibrations of Bliss. Since vibrations of Bliss are of a higher level than those of Shakti, Bhav, and Chaitanya, this chant contains a greater proportion of the Nirgun (non-materialised) principle. In short, this study clarified that the amount of vibrations emitted by different chants of a Deity varies. When a person chants them, it has a positive effect on them; however, even these positive effects vary in degree.’
