Due to the order of the District Collector, an innocent youth languished in jail for a year !

Shahdol (Madhya Pradesh) – The Madhya Pradesh High Court has fined Shahdol District Collector Dr. Kedar Singh of Rs 2 lakh. Dr Singh has been told to pay the money from his own pocket to the victim. Dr. Kedar Singh had ordered action against Sushant Bais under ‘the National Security Act’. Innocent Sushant Bais had to spend more than a year in jail. The incident took place in September 2024. The high court ordered the chief secretary to conduct a departmental inquiry against the home department and the Shahdol district collector regarding the entire matter.
The High Court has recognised the violation of the fundamental rights of the victim Sushant Singh Rajput and fined the District Collector Dr. Kedar Singh. The high court also ordered contempt proceedings against him for furnishing false documents, false information and a false affidavit in support of it. It also ordered the district collector to appear before the high court on November 25.
