This threat was issued just hours before the scheduled meeting between the delegations of Pakistan and Afghanistan in Istanbul (Türkiye). Asif accused the Taliban Government of sheltering terrorists and refusing to act against those who attack Pakistan. The Taliban, however, has denied these allegations and condemned Pakistan for carrying out drone attacks on Afghan citizens. In turn, the Taliban has accused Pakistan of providing refuge to Islamic State terrorists.
