‘India is weaponizing water’ : Pak President rants over ‘Indus Water Treaty’

Doha (Qatar) – ‘India is weaponizing water’, alleged Pakistaní President Asif Ali Zardari at the World Summit held here. ‘The Indus Water Treaty is being violated repeatedly and the lives of 24 Cr Pakistanis are in danger,’ he added. During the conference, he met United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and demanded implementation of Security Council resolutions on Kashmir. Guterres praised Pakistan’s participation in peacekeeping missions and expressed support for its efforts against terrorism. (Is the United Nations Secretary-General, who praises a country that has become the global epicenter of terrorism, in his right mind ? – Editor). On the other hand, Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto said that the citizens of Pakistan are in trouble due to India’s decision to block water.

India suspended the 60-year-old Indus Water Treaty with Pakistan in April this year following the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.

Editorial Perspective

No matter how much Pakistan cries, it must remember that it will have to face the consequences of its evil deeds.
