Forcing Muslims to say ‘Vande Mataram’ is wrong : Abu Azmi

Anti-national statement by Samajwadi Party State President and MLA Abu Azmi

MLA Abu Azmi

Mumbai – “It is not right to make ‘Vande Mataram’ mandatory. The Government is trying to harass Muslims by raising issues like ‘Vande Mataram’. ‘Just as forcing Hindus to say ‘Allah-hu-Akbar’ (Allah is Great) is wrong, forcing Muslims to say ‘Vande Mataram’ is wrong,” said Samajwadi Party State President and MLA Abu Azmi. (Abu Azmi is opposing ‘Vande Mataram’ due to his hatred towards Hindu Dharma. This shows that he is not ready to consider India as mother – Editor). BJP has demanded that a sedition case be registered against Abu Azmi.

MLA Abu Azmi said,

1. The decision to force ‘Vande Mataram’ is an injustice to Muslims. (It is a sign of stupidity to call it injustice when singing ‘Vande Mataram’ awakens patriotism – Editor). Every person has his own faith. We all have our own religion. We should all respect that faith.

2. In the Muslim sect, there is a tradition of respecting the mother the most. It is believed that heaven is under the feet of the mother; but the head is bowed only before Allah, because Allah is one. He created this earth, the Sun and everything else. Therefore, we bow to Him alone. Therefore, it is not right to make ‘Vande Mataram’ mandatory. (Hindu Dharma is the best culture in the world because it considers the welfare of all living beings along with humans. Hindu Dharma has existed for millions of years, while Islam came into existence only 1,400 years ago. Has Abu Azmi forgotten this ? – Editor).

3. Bringing up slogans like ‘Vande Mataram’, saying ‘Marry Muslim girls, we will pay’, these issues are coming forward only to harass Muslims. (This shows how cleverly Abu Azmi is making contradictory and uneducated statements while fanatic Muslims are deceiving Hindu girls through ‘Love Jihad’ and ruining their lives – Editor).

4. They think that by doing this, the majority will support them. BJP is trying to come to power by dividing Hindus and Muslims without doing any development work. (BJP has been in power since 2014 because of the development work done in the country. Abu Azmi will obviously remain silent about this – Editor).

5. These are very low-class people. If a Muslim man asked to marry Hindu girl, there would be a lot of hue and cry; but these people are asking Hindu men to marry Muslim girls indiscriminately. (So far, no Hindu man who married a Muslim girl has ever killed his wife or tortured her physically and mentally. However, many examples can be given of Hindu girls being deceived through ‘Love Jihad’ and killed by fanatic Muslims – Editor).

What is the matter ?

As the ‘Vande Mataram’ song is completing 150 years, the Maharashtra Government has issued a new order to recite the song in all schools in the State. Orders have been given to sing ‘Vande Mataram’ from October 31st to November 7th. Instructions have also been given to organize an exhibition explaining the history of this song. This order has been given under the signature of the Under Secretary of the School Education Department, A. R. Kulkarni and instructions have been given to the Education Commissioner through a circular.

SP MLA seeks withdrawal of the order to sing ‘Vande Mataram’ in Maharashtra schools

Samajwadi Party MLA Rais Shaikh demands in a letter to the Chief Minister and Minister of State for Education

Mumbai – Samajwadi Party’s Bhiwandi East MLA Rais Shaikh has written a letter to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Minister of State for Education Pankaj Bhoyar demanding that the Government withdraw the mandatory singing of ‘Vande Mataram’ imposed in schools in the State. ‘The Government is pushing the agenda of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh by introducing religious principles in the field of knowledge rather than quality education,’ he said. ‘The mandatory singing of Vande Mataram is a violation of the right granted by the Constitution. ‘Jana Gana Mana’ is the national anthem of India and the national anthem should be given a place of honour, sanctity and respect everywhere,’ he said in the letter.

Editorial Perspective

Instead of withdrawing the order, the Government should ask MLA Rais Shaikh to go away from India.

Abu Azmi should be booked for sedition : Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Minister, BJP

Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Minister, BJP

Abu Azmi should know that this is not Pakistan, but India. It is Narendra Modi and Amit Shah’s India. It is Devendra’s Maharashtra. ‘If you want to live in India, you should say Vande Mataram.’ Abu Azmi should be booked for sedition. I appeal to the people of Azmi’s constituency to go to his house and celebrate ‘Vande Mataram Day’. If anyone has the courage, come forward, otherwise our workers will come in front of your house and sing ‘Vande Mataram’.

If Abu Azmi has so much hatred, he should leave the country : Navnath Ban, Media Chief, BJP

If you want to live in India, you have to say ‘Vande Mataram’ and ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’. If those who are ‘allergic’ to Bharat Mata and ‘Vande Mataram’, they should go and live outside the country. If Abu Azmi has so much hatred for the song, he should leave the country.

Editorial Perspective

MLA Abu Azmi had earlier refused to say ‘Vande Mataram’ and ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ in the legislative assembly. Why is Abu Azmi, who has such treasonous attitude, not being charged with sedition and stripped of his MLA status ?
