Let Nashik become Well Known across the country by Making the Best and Effective Arrangements for ‘Simhastha Kumbh-Parva’ : Girish Mahajan, ‘Kumbh-Parva’ Minister and Chief of Committee

In a meeting held for ‘Simhastha Kumbh Parva’ arrangements, ‘Kumbh-Parva’ Minister Girish Mahajan and other participating ministers

Mumbai – ‘Kumbh-Parva’ Minister Girish Mahajan  and the chief of ‘Kumbh-Parva’ committee appealed that let the management of ‘Simhastha Kumbh-Parva’ be so good and effective that Nashik would become well known across the country. In the ‘Simhastha Kumbh Mela 2027’ committee meeting held on 29.10.2025, headed by Girish Mahajan, development projects undertaken by various departments in connection with the ‘Kumbh-Parva’ were reviewed. Minister Girish Mahajan further stated that special care will have to be taken since Simhastha Kumbh-Mela at Nashik will be held during monsoon. The administration should consider all the possibilities and take action. The State Government is planning minute details taking into account the experiences of ‘Kumbh-Parva’ held twelve years ago.

1. Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Minister Chhagan Bhujbal was happy about the planning made by the administration considering the huge crowds drawn at Ram-Kunda. He also stated that the facilities being made available in the background of ‘Kumbh-Parva’, should always be available even later for the people of Nashik. Action should be taken on priority for wastewater treatment for purification of the water of River Godavari.

2. Mr Dada Bhuse, School Education Minister suggested that a new hospital needs to be built at Nashik. The facilities being provided for ‘Kumbh-Parva’ should be able to be used even in the future. Other pilgrimage places in Nashik district should also be developed in this background.

3. The Sports and Youth Welfare Minister advocate Manikrao Kokate stated that construction of Dwarka Circle to Nashik Road flyover should be undertaken on priority basis but taking care that the local residents are not caused inconvenience.

4. State Industry Minister Uday Samant suggested publicising the Nashik Kumbh-Parva during the ‘Vishwa Marathi Sahitya Sammelan (World conference on Marathi literature)’ scheduled to be held in December 2025.

5. Animal Husbandry, Environment and Climate Change Minister Pankaja Munde suggested planning of Nashik Kumbh-Parva in three phases.

6. State Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik advised the State Government to make available 200 buses to the State Road Transport Corporation which will be useful for the State after ‘Kumbh-Mela’.

7. ‘Kumbh-Parva Authority’s Commissioner Shekhar Singh presented the various schemes undertaken by ‘the Nashik-Trimbakeshwar Kumbh-Parva Authority’ and other State departments.
