‘I love Muhammad’ written on several Hindu temples in Aligarh (Uttar Pradesh) !

Aligarh (Uttar Pradesh) – After posters reading ‘I love Muhammad’ appeared on roads, lanes and neighbourhoods in the city, the same phrase has now been written on the walls of several temples. This has triggered tension in the area. The phrase was found written on temples including the Shiv Temple and Hanuman Temple. The incident reportedly occurred late on the night of 24 October. When Hindus noticed the writing on temple walls the next morning, they strongly protested. Police arrived at the scene and removed the writing. CCTV footage is being examined, and two suspects have reportedly been identified.

Activists of Hindu organisations have alleged that the police erased the writing too quickly, thereby destroying evidence. The Karni Sena has warned that if the culprits are not exposed within 48 hours, a large-scale protest will be launched.
