Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) – A DRDO engineer, Akashdeep Gupta (age 30), was found dead under suspicious circumstances at his residence in Omanagar, Alambagh, Lucknow. Gupta was employed in Delhi as an engineer in the BrahMos missile project. He had returned home to spend the Diwali holidays with his family.
Akashdeep had been associated with defence-related projects for the past 3 years and was working on the BrahMos missile programme for about seven years.
On the night of October 21st, after returning home from a volleyball game, he suddenly fell ill. His family immediately rushed him to Lokbandhu Hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival. Preliminary investigations suggest a possible heart attack, but the police are awaiting the post-mortem report for confirmation.
According to family members, Akashdeep was married just 6 months ago, was in perfect health, and had a keen interest in sports. His sudden and unexpected death has come as a deep shock to all.
