Muslims fatally attack Hindu youth for bursting crackers near a mosque in Bhavnagar (Gujarat)

Bhavnagar (Gujarat) – Two Hindu brothers were fatally attacked by Muslims for bursting crackers near a mosque on Diwali. The Police have registered a case against Sameer, Riyaz and Aslam and have arrested Sameer and Aslam. The incident took place on October 19th in Maftnagar area near Mohammadi Mosque on Madhia Road in Kumbharwada area.

2 to 3 Muslim youths were abusing a Hindu youth for bursting crackers. When his brother reached there, he was attacked. The brother said that Riyaz Pathan, Sameer Hussain Syed and Aslam Pathan were standing with pipes and swords in their hands. When he objected to abusive language of Aslam Pathan, Riyaz Pathan hit him on the head with pipe. After that, Sameer and Aslam also beat him up with pipe. His brother went to save him; but the accused also attacked him. The accused named Sameer came with a sword and hit his brother on the head. When the fight escalated, their friends came and saved both the brothers. Currently, both are undergoing treatment in the hospital.

Police did not take action despite involvement of Congress woman leader : Victims allege

The victim youth has accused the Police of biased behaviour. He claims that the Police have not taken any action against the accused whose names he had given in the complaint. A local Congress leader named Khatija Khatun was also involved in the attack, and she organizes party programmes in the area. (It is expected that such things do not happen in a BJP ruled State – Editor).
