
Guwahati, Assam – The BJP-led government in Assam is preparing to introduce a new Bill aimed at curbing love jihad and polygamy. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced that the Bill will be tabled during the next Assembly session scheduled for November 2025. He added that detailed information about the proposed legislation will be released after the Cabinet grants its approval.
