New case of ‘love jihad’ surfaces in Uttar Pradesh !

Ballia (Uttar Pradesh) – A shocking incident has come to light in Uttar Pradesh’s Ballia district, where a Muslim youth named Hasan Ali allegedly abducted a 17-year-old Hindu girl. Based on a complaint filed by the victim’s grandmother, the police have registered a case against Hasan Ali. The Hindu girl was reportedly on her way to a coaching class near Devaraj Brahma Chowk in Ballia when the accused, Hasan Ali, stopped her e-rickshaw, forced her to get down, and took her away on his two-wheeler.
Even after the family lodged a complaint, the police merely called the accused’s father for questioning and took no further action. Consequently, the girl’s family had to file another complaint on 19 October 2025. The girl is still missing, and her family suspects that the accused might convert her religion and commit some unlawful act. According to Ballia’s Deputy Superintendent of Police, Mohammad Faheem Qureshi, a case has been registered against the accused based on the grandmother’s complaint. A special investigation team has been formed, and the inquiry is underway.
