Karnataka minister Priyank Kharge again urges CM Siddaramaiah to restrict state employees from attending RSS events

Priyank Kharge

Bengaluru (Karnataka) – Karnataka minister Priyank Kharge has once again written to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah demanding restrictions on state government employees from attending events organised by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). Citing the Karnataka Civil Service (Conduct) Rules, 2021, Kharge urged the Chief Minister to issue directives prohibiting government employees from participating in RSS programmes and to initiate disciplinary action against those who violate these rules.

Editorial Perspectives

  • It seems minister Priyank Kharge has nothing more meaningful to do in Congress-ruled Karnataka than spend time writing such letters! The public should question him on this wasteful move.
  • When the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) is not a banned organisation, demanding restrictions on participation in its events reflects the dictatorial mindset of the Congress government!
