Unknown Persons Abuse Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Pelt Stones at RSS Shakha in Shrirampur (Ahilyanagar)

Shrirampur (Dist. Ahilyanagar) – On 13.10.2025, RSS regular Shakha was underway in Sant Tukaram Maharaj Temple in Zirange colony. A few unknown assailants said bad words about Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and pelted stones at the RSS Shakha. After their usual physical exercises, when RSS members started raising slogans of ‘Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj ki Jai’, ‘Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj ki Jai’, ‘Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar ki Jai’, etc., 5-6 persons reached there on 3 bikes; passed derogatory remarks about Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, pelted stones and ran away.

Devout Hindu activists gathered near the class

Local Hindus learnt about the incident and they gathered in large numbers at the place of incident. On 14.10.2025, ‘Maha-aarti’ was performed in the temple by the RSS district joint secretary Mr Yogesh Kumawat, strongly condemning the incident. ‘Hanuman Chaalisa’ was also recited on the occasion in the presence of more than 350 devout Hindus. An FIR has been filed with the local Police station in this context.
