Bengaluru (Karnataka) – Stickers promoting Christianity were illegally placed inside a bus operated by BMTC (Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation). The stickers were fixed on the inner glass panels of the bus. After a photo of one such bus was posted on ‘X’ (formerly Twitter) and a strong objection was raised, the stickers were removed.
🚨 Use of BMTC Bus for Christian Propaganda! 🚌✝️
After objection by @Mohan_HJS, spokesperson of @HinduJagrutiOrg, BMTC swiftly removed the illegal propaganda stickers 🚫
Shameful that anyone can stick such posters on govt buses unchecked; action comes only after public… pic.twitter.com/XOGOyV0JXo

This was confirmed by Shri Mohan Gowda, Karnataka State Spokesperson of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, to a Sanatan Prabhat correspondent.

Mr Mohan Gowda further stated the following:
1. Christian proselytisation is rampant in Bengaluru at present, and such campaigns are leading to violence against Hindus at multiple locations.
2. When I raised the issue on ‘X’ with BMTC, they responded stating, “The stickers were placed without our permission. They have now been immediately removed.”
3. This issue must not be left here. It is essential to investigate who placed those stickers and take strict action against them.
4. This is not limited to a single bus. Across various states, Christian missionary propaganda is actively being pushed through Government vehicles, public infrastructure, and Government spaces. Recently, the Karnataka High Court also issued directions to remove illegal churches in certain areas.
5. Despite an anti-conversion law in place in the state, strict surveillance is needed against Christian missionaries who operate illegally under the guise of religious preaching. Any such incidents must be dealt with under the law.
Editorial PerspectiveIf anyone can affix religious stickers on BMTC buses without approval, and the corporation claims ignorance until someone else points it out, it is nothing short of shameful for the administrative officers concerned. |
