Tit-for-tat to ‘Love Jihad’ and disrespect toward Hindu deities : NCP MLA Sangram Jagtap

Shivshakti–Bhimshakti Jan Aakrosh Morcha’ held in Ahilyanagar

Ahilyanagar: Incidents of targeting and challenging Hindus in the city are increasing by the day. “Such acts will no longer be tolerated. Whenever cases of Love Jihad, insult to Hindu deities, disrespect toward great leaders, or actions against the Constitution occur — they will be met with an equal response (‘jashas tashe’), and only then will protest marches be held,” warned Nationalist Congress Party MLA Sangram Jagtap.

This statement came after offensive pamphlets insulting Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar were circulated in the city. In protest, a ‘Shivshakti–Bhimshakti Jan Aakrosh Morcha’ was organized on October 12 under the leadership of Jagtap.

BJP MLA Gopichand Padalkar, youth leader Sagar Beg, and Bhimshakti leader Valmik Nikalje also participated in the march. The rally began with a tribute to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s statue and saw participation from both Hindu citizens and members of the Ambedkarite community. Despite the scorching heat, thousands of citizens joined the protest, which culminated in a public meeting at Delhigate.

Hindus must awaken to protect the nation, the Constitution, and their faith

During his address, MLA Sangram Jagtap spoke on the issue of “Demographic Jihad”, citing examples from West Bengal and Malegaon. He reaffirmed his stand urging people to “buy only from Hindu sellers during Diwali” and appealed to voters: “Do not elect those who refuse to sing the national anthem. To safeguard the nation, the Constitution, and religion, Hindus must stay united and alert.”

Referring to the AIMIM (All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen), Jagtap questioned, “Those who claim to respect the Constitution — why have AIMIM leaders not condemned Farid Khan, who insulted Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar?”

Those who insult great leaders will be taught a lesson!

BJP MLA Gopichand Padalkar said,“Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar had already foreseen this jihadi mindset. During the partition, he demanded that such people be sent to Pakistan. Had his advice been followed, we wouldn’t be facing such protests today.”

Padalkar further said, “Bursting firecrackers when India loses a cricket match, insulting our great leaders — these are not isolated incidents but part of a larger conspiracy. Trapping Hindu girls in love, converting Hindus under the pretext of healing them with chants — these acts must be answered in the same language. Those who disrespect our icons will be taught a lesson.”

He also criticized AIMIM leaders for publicly declaring in Ahilyanagar that they would continue to call the city “Ahmednagar.” “Anyone opposing the name Ahilyanagar stands against the country,” Padalkar said, demanding that shops displaying boards with ‘Ahmednagar’ be penalized — “District authorities must cancel their licenses immediately.”
