‘Love Jihadi’ and ‘Social Media Influencer’ Mani Meraj finally nabbed

Patna (Bihar) – Mani Meraj, a famous YouTuber, was accused of rape, and forced conversion of religion under ‘Love Jihad’. Another famous Hindu woman on ‘Instagram’ had made such accusations against him. He has been absconding after a case was filed against him. Now, he has been arrested at Anisabad, Patna by the UP Police while he was going towards Sahebganj.

What is the issue ?

As per the information given by the victim, he befriended her about two years ago. Later, once he gave her some intoxicating substance through her drinks, which made her unconscious and then, he raped her. After a few days, he took her to his house and married her under Islam. He, however, told her to keep the marriage a secret. During this time, they regularly had physical relations. She was asked to have abortion when she became pregnant. The aggrieved woman reported that he used to force her to convert and eat beef. Later, the woman came to know that he was already married and the father of two children. He had illegal relations with other girls too. When she opposed him, he beat her up and threatened to kill her family.
