Plot to establish a ‘Mujahideen Army’ and impose Sharia law
The arrested Muslim youth were under the influence of Pakistani extremist organisations. Their aim was to impose Sharia law in India through violent jihad. For this, they had set up an organisation called the ‘Mujahideen Army’. These radical youth were spreading propaganda that ‘Muslims are being oppressed’, inciting people and motivating them for ‘jihad’. This was being carried out through social media groups. They circulated inflammatory videos online to provoke Muslims and fuel their so-called jihad.
