
Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) – A student studying in sixth standard lost ₹13 lakh in online games. He was very upset and committed suicide. On getting information, the Police rushed to the place of incident and sent his body for postmortem.

1. The incident took place in Dhanuwa Sand village in Lucknow. The boy named Yash Kumar (age-14 yrs), the only son of Mr Sureshkumar Yadav was studying in sixth standard.
2. Sureshkumar Yadav said that he has an account in Union Bank’s Bijnor branch. On 15.09.2025, he observed that the balance in his account was reduced by ₹13 lakh.
3. On inquiry, he learnt from the bank manager that the money was transferred through online gaming. His son used to play on his father’s cell phone which was connected to the bank account, resulting in the loss of money.
4. Sureshkumar came home and asked his son about the loss of money. Initially, the son evaded answering him but later, he accepted that he was playing online games. The father warned him not to play online games.
5. The teacher from his tuition class also told his father that he would try to make him understand and Sureshkumar need not worry. After his tuition class, Yash went to his room and ended his life.
6. Sureshkumar informed that he had sold a part of his land two years back and deposited ₹13 lakh in the bank. He is a painter and earns money through painting jobs. Further investigations have been started by the Police in this context.
