C P Radhakrishnan is the New Vice President

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and C.P. Radhakrishnan are India’s newly elected Vice Presidents.

New Delhi – C P Radhakrishnan has become the Vice-President of India. In the election held for the post in the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha of the Parliament, Radhakrishnan got 452 votes. He was the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA)’s candidate. On the other hand, the INDIA Bloc’s candidate B Sudershan Reddy could get 300 votes. The elections were held after the resignation of former Vice-President Jagadeep Dhankhar.

Radhakrishnan got 25 votes more than expected.
