New Delhi – According to the information provided by the Pew Research Center in the US, Christians have become minorities in 4 countries of the world in the last 10 years, according to the world map. These include the developed countries of the United Kingdom (England, Ireland and Scotland), France, Australia, as well as Uruguay in South America. 60 percent of the countries in the world are Christian majority.

In the UK, the Christian population has gone down to 49 percent. In France, it is 46 percent, in Australia, it is 47 percent, and in Uruguay, it is 44 percent. Other countries are also on the same path. These include the Netherlands and New Zealand.

Why is the Christian population decreasing around the world ?

In the year 2010, the number of Christian-majority countries in the world was 124. It decreased to 120 in the year 2020, i.e. in 10 years. The population growth rate has decreased. Many people have become atheists. Some have converted. Due to this, the Christian population in these countries has decreased significantly. Christians are becoming a minority.

What is the status of Hindus ?

India and Nepal are the two Hindu-majority countries in the world. Of these, 95 percent are in India, while 5 percent live in various countries around the world. The number of Hindus is large in Nepal. Hindus constitute only 15 percent of the world’s total population.
