Kerala will be a Muslim majority State by 2040

‘Sri Narayan Dharma Paripalana Yogam Sanstha’ leader Vellapplli’s claim

Vellapally Natesan

Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala) – Leader of  Sri Narayan Dharma Paripalana Yogam (SNDP) a community welfare organisation and Izava community, Vellappalli claimed that Kerala will be a Muslim majority State by 2040. This statement has caused a huge political stir creating controversy. Interestingly, BJP is not participating in this debate.

Nateshan added, Muslims have become an invincible force in the State. Some Muslim Dharmagurus, especially Kanthapuram and A. P. Aboobakkar Musliyar have increasing influence on the  government. The situation has reached to a point where any decision or reform can be implemented only after permission from Malappuram (a Muslim majority dist.). Indian Union Muslim League was confined to North Kerala, however, now they are eyeing Central Kerala Assembly seat. They are now making efforts to win elections to have their own chief minister.

Congress alleges, Nateshan is making such polarising statements on behest of Chief Minister Pinrai Vijayan.

Kerala census in 2011 –

Total population– 3.34 crore

Hindus – 54.73%

Muslims – 26.56%

Christians – 18.38%

Editorial Perspective

It won’t be surprising if not only Kerala, but Bengal and Jharkhand will also have Muslim majority.
