Idols of Shri Ganesh and Nag-Devata desecrated at Shivamogga (Karnataka)

Saddam and Rehamtullah arrested

Shivamogga (Karnataka) – The Islamic extremists involved in desecration of Shri Ganesh idol and Nag-devata’s stone have been recently arrested. The names of the arrested culprits are Syed Ahmad and Rehmatulla. They had kicked the Shri Ganesh idol installed in Ragigudda area and thrown Nag-devata stone in a gutter. The incident created tension in the area. Hindu leaders, enraged with such acts of fanatics, demanded suitable action against the offenders. A case was filed with Gramin Police Station in this context.

( It is very shameful for Hindus that religious fanatics dare to insult Hindus’ seats of worship in the area where the majority population is of Hindus. Hindus need to unite and create a status for themselves that fanatics wouldn’t dare to denigrate religious sentiments of Hindus. – Editor)

Mr K S Eshwarappa, former deputy chief minister and BJP leader and BJP MLA Dhananjay Sarji of State Legislative Council  visited the place of incident and gathered information from the local residents and demanded strict action against the guilty. Dhananjay Sarji stated that the site needs to be purified and a temple should be constructed.

Editorial Perspective

It is observed that fanatic Islamic extremists have free hand to do whatever they want since Karnataka is ruled by anti-Hindu Congress party; therefore, the arrested fanatics getting punished seems to be doubtful.
