Muslims put up hoarding next to the place of halting of the Shri Dnyaneshwar Mauli’s palkhi

Pune, 22ndJune – A huge hoarding saying, ‘Allah ke siva koi mabud nahi’ , meaning there is no other god than Allah, has been put up at a place where thousands of pilgrims are streaming in to take darshan of Mauli’s palkhi in Bhavanipeth. This hoarding is an insult to Hindus’ religious sentiments.

This hoarding was put up to greet Muslims on Eid. However, the Muslims were not considerate and did not remove the hoarding despite the arrival of Dnyaneshwar Mauli’s palkhi. A social organisation ‘Madarsa Anvarul Islam’ had put up this hoarding. The disillusionment comes when the Police who impose restrictions at the time of every Hindu religious festival, saying it would hurt the religious sentiments of Muslims, did not order removal of this hoarding. (Shame on Pune police.- Editor)
