Agra (Uttar Pradesh) – A Muslim youth named Shariq Abbas pretended to be Deepak Rai and developed a relationship with a Hindu girl, eventually raping her. When the victim found out about his real identity, she filed a complaint with the police. Shariq used money and intimidation to exert pressure on her.
Key details from the case:
1. Shariq recorded obscene videos of the girl and threatened her. He would pour beer on her private parts and physically abuse her. When she resisted, he would beat her. Even his family members were reportedly involved in her sexual assault.
2. The victim, a Hindu girl, was attending coaching classes in New Agra. Shariq Abbas, a resident of the same area, also attended these classes. He introduced himself as Deepak Rai and began growing close to her. He visited her home and initiated physical relations.
3. Upon learning Shariq’s true identity, the girl broke off contact. However, he continued to threaten her persistently.
4. Fed up with his threats, she moved to Delhi to continue her education. Shariq followed her there and forcibly maintained physical relations with her. He blackmailed her using recorded videos and pressured her to convert to Islam and recite the Kalma (verses from the Quran).
