Jalgaon, Maharashtra – Aslam Ali Yusuf Ali Sayyed (age 29), resident of Amalner in the district, lured a 15-year-old girl from a village in Chopda taluka to the sub-district hospital under false pretences, and was attempting to abduct her from there when both were apprehended by Hindutva activists and handed over to the Police. Aslam has been arrested, and the Court has remanded him to 4 days of Police custody. A case under the POCSO Act has been filed at Chopda Police Station. It has come to light that the religious fanatic Aslam is already married and has three daughters. The mother of the minor Hindu girl has filed a complaint stating that religious fanatic Aslam Sayyed was trying to entice her daughter and calling her to meet him. He repeatedly tried to get physically close to her with the intent of sexual exploitation. The girl informed that Aslam had physical relations with her in the Kingaon locality, after which the family had warned Aslam to stay away from her.

Two years ago, at a public event, religious fanatic Aslam had participated as a member of the ‘Rauf Band’ musical group. He had then enticed the victim Hindu girl, who was in 8th standard at the time, and deceived her with the lure of marriage. It is also learnt that Aslam’s wife had not been living with him for many days. Police have found from his mobile contact list that Aslam had tried to trap several Hindu girls while playing music at various weddings.
