Other forms of worship are prohibited in the temple premises,” reads a signboard!

Milind Ekbote has taken a commendable step to stop the Namaz recitation in the temple premises of Sarasbaug (Pune)!

Pune: Prayers were being offered at Sarasbaug in the Swargate area. A case has also been registered against the religious fanatics at Swargate Police Station. It was reported on social media that prayers were being offered at Sarasbaug. Following this, some pro-Hindu organisations took an aggressive stand. Accordingly, it was also planned to perform Aarti every Friday.

Later, a signboard was put up at the entrance of the Ganapati Temple in Sarasbaug. “Shri Siddhivinayak Temple, Sarasbaug, under Shri Devdeveshwar Sansthan, respects only Sanatan religious tradition. Other forms of worship/prayers are prohibited in the area. Legal action will be taken if found,” read the placard.

President of ‘Samast Hindu Aghadi’ – Milind Ekbote, along with Rupesh Kesekar and Sanket Mehendale Guruji, constantly followed up to ensure the banner was put up.

Editorial Perspective –

It is shameful for Hindus that Namaz is being recited in the Shri Ganesh Temple complex, located in a historical place like Sarasbaug in Pune city! The police of the pro-Hindu government are also expected to take action to stop such incidents!
