Buldhana – Maharashtra Chief Minister and Home Minister Devendra Fadanvis was angry with Shiv Sena MLA Sanjay Gaikwad for the controversial statement made by him about Maharashtra Police. He asked Dy CM Eknath Shinde to take him to task while a case has been filed with Buldhana City Police against MLA Gaikwad.

MLA Sanjay Gaikwad said that he would face the situation if a case was filed against him. He claimed that he inadvertently referred to Maharashtra Police when he wanted to talk about the local Police. He added that the courage and dutifulness of Maharashtra Police cannot be overlooked. He also tendered an apology to those good Police Officers who must have been hurt due to his statement. He said that Police have, however, been defamed because of a few people. He said that he was taking back his statement about Maharashtra Police.

What did MLA Sanjay Gaikwad say about the Police ?

MLA Sanjay Gaikwad made serious allegations against Maharashtra Police. He said there was no other incompetent department in the world like Maharashtra Police. He directly accused Maharashtra Police by alleging that if Police found Rs 50 lakhs in a raid, they showed the amount as only Rs 50,000/-. Passing of a new law creates a new opportunity for Police to take bribes as ban on ‘gutkha’ increases one chance of taking bribe, ban on liquor creates another opportunity for bribe. If the Police decided to stop their baseness for a year, everything would become good and normal. Police are not able to do anything against the threat received by my son. My car was burnt in front of my house but no investigations were conducted; therefore, the Police are incompetent and two Police from Buldhana are acting like two  ‘Sardars’  of thieves. How can the stolen goods be found in the houses of the Police, he questioned.
