Chennai (Tamil Nadu) – DMK corporator Zakir Hussain tried to take off the gold bangle from the wrist of a woman leader standing next to him, while taking oath during a protest against Hindi language. The video of the incident has been circulated by the BJP. There has been no official comment from the DMK yet.

In this video, it is seen that all the leaders are taking the oath with their arm raised in the front. Zakir Hussain is repeatedly touching the hand of a woman standing next to him. He tries to remove the bangle from the woman’s wrist. Then another woman standing next to him hits Zakir’s hand and pushes him away; but Zakir Hussain tries to take off the bangle repeatedly.

BJP Tamil Nadu State President K. Annamalai also shared the related video and wrote, “DMK corporator from Ward No. 25, Coonoor who stole a bangle on the pretext of anti- Hindi protest. Stealing and DMK can never be separated.”
