Ban the entry of Muslims in Mathura’s Holi celebrations : Demand by saints

Mathura (Uttar Pradesh) – Holi is celebrated with great pomp and grandeur in Mathura. Saints in Mathura have demanded a ban on the entry of Muslims into Braj on the day of Holi. The saints argue that people from across the country and the world come to Mathura to witness the Holi of Braj. Why are Muslims needed in Braj on Holi day ? What do they do here ? They have demanded that a law like the one enforced during the Maha Kumbha Mela in Prayagraj be implemented in Braj. Muslims should not come here during Holi.

Support from BJP MLA

BJP MLA from Bihar, Haribhushan Thakur, has also expressed support for the saints’ demand. He said that those who do not believe in our culture should be prevented from attending such events. Those whose madarasas teach that “applying colour on the face will bring punishment from Allah” should not participate in a festival of colours. Muslims who do not believe in our deities and harbour hatred toward us should not come to places where the festivals of Sanatan culture are celebrated.

Braj’s Holi is famous

The Holi festival in Braj attracts devotees from across the country and the world. The Holi celebrations here begin a few days in advance. There is immense enthusiasm during this time. People come from far and wide to play Holi. The celebrations start from Barsana, the birthplace of Radha. The Lathmar Holi of Barsana is considered a part of the divine plays (leelas) performed by Shrikrushna during his time.

Editorial perspective

This demand, which has started emerging during every Hindu festival, is a sign that Hindus are awakening. It should not come as a surprise if such demands begin to arise everywhere tomorrow !

Dharm Raksha Sangh National Convenor Acharya Badrish said the Uttar Pradesh Government should also impose restrictions just as it has imposed restrictions on the participation of Muslims in the Garba festival in the states of Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Maharashtra. Since Muslims are opposed to colours and Gulal, Muslims have no place in the Holi festival. They should be kept away.

Opposition from Samajwadi Party MP Sanatan Pandey

All this is a planned political strategy to create division in society – Sanatan Pandey, SP

Sanatan Pandey, the Samajwadi Party MP

Sanatan Pandey, the Samajwadi Party MP from Ballia (Uttar Pradesh), criticized a letter written in blood by the president of the Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi Sangharsh Trust. He said that the Constitution does not permit discrimination based on caste or religion. (Even so, for the past 77 years, discrimination against Hindus has been carried out in the name of the Constitution—why doesn’t Pandey speak about that ? – Editor) Shrikrushna was a symbol of love and unity; he never sowed the seeds of hatred. (Instead of saying this, Pandey should explain which religion is the basis for hatred, terrorism, conversion, Love Jihad, spitting jihad, Land Jihad, etc.! – Editor) The BJP wants to create a divide between Hindus and Muslims for the sake of power. He alleged that all this is a planned political strategy to create division in society.

Editorial Perspective

Instead of living up to the name ‘Sanatan’ (eternal/traditional), the Samajwadi Party MP propagates anti-Sanatan thoughts ! It is because of such born-Hindus that Hindu Dharma has been harmed so far and continues to be harmed.
