Prayagraj – As the call for the establishment of Hindu Rashtra and a Sanatan Board is gaining ground at the Maha Kumbha, Prayagraj’s Maharshi Yogi Sanstha has demanded that the Bhagwan Shriram Currency should be launched in Bharat. Such a demand had been made when Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh was the Governor of the Reserve Bank of India, but at that time RBI had replied that India cannot have two types of Currencies. The Sanstha had supported ‘the Global Country of the world’ to launch the currency with a picture of Shriram on it in the Netherlands, and now the same Sanstha is reiterating the same demand once more.
Now senior economists connected with the Sanstha are planning to meet RBI. The Sanstha hopes that the Modi government may take note of this request. The notes with Shriram’s picture were used in Holland, Germany and 28 other Countries. This organisation is one of the richest spiritual organisations and is connected with Maharshi Mahesh Yogi. The Maharshi Yogi Ashram is situated in the Prayagraj Aral area of the Maha Kumbha. Girish Maharaj the Sanstha’s chief said, ‘Everyone speaks mostly about Rupees, Dollars, Euros etc. All need riches and money. But Maharshi Mahesh Yogi felt how would people keep saying ‘Ram, Ram’ all day? So he decided to launch a currency called ‘Ram’. And he consulted specialists in this matter. The Ram currency was first printed in the Netherlands. Our organisation participated in this venture. The value of 10 dollars was equal to 1 Ram. This was the exchange rate of the currency. This ram currency was launched in 30 countries which included Holland, Germany, Switzerland and Austria. This was a good and great experiment. Many liked and appreciated it. Then the same was attempted to be launched in India, but they did not succeed. Now once again there is talk of launching Shriram currency. The Senior economists in the Sanstha will discuss this with the Government. We are going to tell the Government how this currency will be beneficial. This is a developmental currency and is for a limited period.’
