Suspended Police Inspector Announces Renunciation of Hinduism After Dispute with Senior Officers

Alleges injustice due to caste discrimination

Jhansi (Uttar Pradesh) – Police Inspector Mohan Yadav was suspended following a dispute with senior officers. In response, Yadav has alleged that he was subjected to injustice due to caste- based discrimination. As a mark of protest, he brought all religious images, idols, and worship materials from his home to Elite Chowk and publicly declared his renunciation of Hinduism.

1.Mohan Yadav stated, “I am renouncing a religion where casteism prevails. A person’s life is not valued because of their caste. People believe that divine blessings are granted based on caste. I have been subjected to oppression for the last three months. A case has been filed against me, and I have been suspended. All of this is happening purely because of my caste. People of a particular caste occupy the higher positions. To me, they are like the demons Taraka and Putana.”

2.Ten days ago, Yadav had set up a tea stall at Elite Chowk as a form of protest, selling tea to express his dissent. Following his suspension, an investigation into the allegations against him is currently underway.
