The Police had denied permission citing the 10thexaminations

Kolkata – The Bengal Police had denied permission for H.H. Sarsanghchalak Mohanji Bhagwat’s rally that was to be held on 16thFebruary at Burdwan. The Bengal branch of the RSS approached the Calcutta Court on 13thFebruary asking for justice. The Court heard the matter on the 14thFebruary and gave conditional permission for the rally. The High Court put the condition of the sound of the Rally loudspeakers to be kept at low. H.H. Bhagwat is on a tour of Bengal. He is meeting the office bearers of the Sangh and discussing the expansion of the organisation.
The Bengal Police had denied permission saying that there was a school near the rally venue. Presently the Bengal’s Madhyamik Education Board is conducting the 10thexamination. The Sangh Chief’s rally is going to be held on Sunday the 16thof February. So there is no question of it disturbing the examination, stated RSS Bengal Branch.
Editorial PerspectiveIt is not surprising that with Bengal having a Hinduphobic Trinamool Congress in Government, the RSS Chief’s rally is denied permission. |
