Looking at the Maha Kumbha crowd, hell will be empty, and heaven will be housefull

Outrageous statement by Samajwadi Party MP Afzal Ansari

Shadiyabad (UP) – Samajwadi Party MP, Ansari remarked, “ bathing at the Sangam can wash away people’s sins, which means the way to Vaikunth is open. Looking at the crowd, it looks like no one will go to hell and heaven will be housefull. He was speaking at a function on Sant Ravidas Jayanti. At this event MLA, Bedi Ram was also present as a special guest.

Ansari added the situation is bad, the mob is so unruly that they are breaking train windows. The women inside the railway compartments are shaken, they are trying to hide their children in their laps and crying. I have seen all this with my eyes. Those who vandalised the trains are between the age group of 15 to 20 years. Due to crowds, Railway travel is unsafe. We can see a stampede there too. Nobody knows how many people died in the Maha Kumbha stampede. Till today, the exact number of the dead is not known. (A few days ago, in Navi Mumbai Kharghar, for a religious gathering of Muslims, lakhs of people had come together. Two Muslims killed a Hindu at that time. In Maha Kumbha Hindus did not commit such violence. This proves who has a violent mentality. – Editor.)

Editorial Perspectives

  • For such remarks on Hindu religious rituals, the UP government should register a case against Ansari and arrest him.
  • If anyone had remarked on Ansari’s religious faith, immediately ‘sar tan se juda’ threat would have been issued and implemented too.
