Free services for devotees from ‘Sahu Seva Dal’ during Maha Kumbha

Prayagraj, February 2nd – With the noble spirit of ‘Nar Seva is Narayan Seva’, Chandrika Prasad Sahu of Akhil Bharatiya Sahu Seva Dal has been selflessly serving devotees at Maha Kumbha for the past 18 years.Through this initiative, free accommodation and food services are provided to pilgrims
arriving from across the country. Thousands of devotees, especially those in need, have benefitted from this dedicated seva (service), making their spiritual journey more comfortable.

In this year’s Maha Kumbh Mela, the Akhil Bharatiya Sahu Seva Dal has extended its free accommodation and food facilities to 300 devotees at Mukti Marg. In addition to lodging and meals, devotees are provided with tea, breakfast, hot water, modern bathrooms, and a PrasadamGriha for their convenience. Under the guidance of Chandrika Prasad Sahu, and her team personally oversee every arrangement, ensuring that pilgrims—both from India and abroad—can avail themselves of these services. This noble initiative began on December 29th at the Prayagraj Maha Kumbha Mela, and so far, more than 3,000 devotees have benefitted. Chandrika Prasad has vowed to continue this selfless service until Mahashivratra, embodying the spirit of ‘Nar Seva is Narayan Seva.’

‘Sahu Seva Dal’ organizes mass marriage ceremonies for underprivileged couples

In addition to serving devotees at the Maha Kumbha Mela, the Akhil Bharatiya Sahu Seva Dal also organizes mass marriage ceremonies in Prayagraj every year.

Last year, in November, a mass wedding for 51 couples was successfully conducted. Over the years, the Sahu Seva Dal has facilitated the marriages of more than 1,000 couples, helping underprivileged families fulfil their wedding rituals with dignity and devotion.
