118 Ambassadors from 77 countries participate in Prayagraj’s Maha Kumbha

Prayagraj, February 2nd – The Maha Kumbha Mela in Prayagraj witnessed an extraordinary moment as 118 ‘Heads of Mission’ ambassadors from 77 countries arrived on February 1st to participate in this sacred gathering. The ambassadors were warmly welcomed by the Uttar Pradesh administration, reflecting the global recognition of this ancient spiritual event.

Diplomats from countries such as South Africa, Argentina, Japan, Mexico, Nepal, Slovakia, and Estonia joined the Maha Kumbha Mela, many accompanied by their families. Among them, Nepal’s Ambassador, Shankar Sharma, took a holy dip in the Ganges, expressing his deep enthusiasm: “I was very excited to come to the Maha Kumbha. Now, after taking a bath in the Ganges, I feel an even greater sense of happiness,” he said.

Minister of State for External Affairs, Pabitra Margherita, highlighted the significance of the occasion, stating:
